‘Perception’ is the latest 13 song album from UK acoustic rock band REFUGE. The album explores a journey within, with all songs written by the band. Four of the tracks feature the band’s mentor Mark Morriss of UK indie band The Bluetones
This is the band’s 4th studio album with all sales supporting the project ‘Moving InWards’ which aims to make live music an everyday feature on mental health wards of UK hospitals. The songs lyrics document lead singer Pete’s personal recovery journey with Bipolar Disorder – from being a patient on the wards to finding the tools and creating the music that have enabled him to stay well.
REFUGE have supported The Bluetones on legs of both their 20th anniversary & First Decade tours tracks from the album have already been played on radio as part of “BBC Introducing…” Their latest collaboration is with Claire Evans and is called #MindfulMeds which combines their music and mindful practice.
